Deadstock fabric purchased locally in Los Angeles in wholesale quantity.
The fabric has a wrinkle running down the right side of the face, presumably locked in when it was originally rolled up and from hiding in a warehouse for years. Wrinkle can be removed with a low iron. Depending on width of project, it may not be an issue at all. (Wrinkle is shown in photos).
Purchasing this fabric was a huge leap outside of my sewing comfort zone and I learned, some things are best left on the shelf :)
The 4-way stretch gives it a plethora of opportunities to experiment, from bodysuits to bathingsuits. The bouncy weight makes it perfect for dresses as well. Or take it up a notch and make a pair of elastic-waist pants with a matching caftan top for some ABFAB vintage vibes.
