It's been a long time coming. This style of dress has always been my "go to" with multiple vintage pieces hanging in my closet. Hesitant at first, once I got the perfect scoop, it was GO time! Even with vintage inspo, I still try to keep designs unique and this was no exception.
Nina is intentionally oversized so the breeze can pass through as the temps heat up. Throw her on first thing in the morning in lieu of a robe, take a nap in her, wear her out to dinner. She's perfect for all of it. Like so much of what comes from Under the Muumuu, comfort and ease with a touch of glam can be found in Nina.

July 2017, when I was still going by "Rhoda Roper" - this was one of the first fabrics I found while sourcing. Crazy how 35 feels like "a baby" at this point. While this dress was precious, it needed a mature cousin that could provide all the comfort and coolness this "Modern Muumuu Prototype" did back then.
Small batch is a choice. It's a commitment. You're paying more as you recognize the long-term value, the cost-per-wear. These pieces are designed and constructed to live with you for YEARS to come. Trends come and go, muumuus are forever.
